I’ve been meaning to get this post up for a while after having the images sat in my drafts for a good few weeks now, and have finally got round to doing it! I’m a huge sucker when it comes to perfume, and I’m easily wooed by pretty packaging and girly, light fragrances. I’m not a fan of strong, heady scents or anything too sweet as I feel it really doesn’t suit me, and I hate feeling like I’m getting a headache from a perfume that’s too strong for me. Anything sickly sweet does not get my vote, however nice it may smell on anybody else. For me its just too much. I tend to go for very feminine and wearable perfumes, and have a lot of firm favourites!

Orla Kiely – Orla Kiely EDP
This is what I’d describe as a very grown up scent, and one with an acquired fragrance that I think many people would either love or hate. I love it, although it isn’t on I reach for on a regular basis, it’s definitely one of my favourites. It’s quite a floral fragrance, but for me I’d say it’s one I wear more in the colder months as I don’t find it very summery myself. It features typical notes found in all the Orla Kiely products with the signature scent, such as fig, rose and bergamot, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that chocolate also plays a key role in the scent. Yummy!
The Body Shop – Coconut Body Mist
This isn’t a perfume exactly, but more like a fresh body spritz that you would throw in your handbag for a quick, fruity refresh throughout the day. I was introduced to this at the Body Shop Preston Blogger Event that I attended a while back, and fell in love with the scent as soon as I caught a whiff! I love The Body Shop’s coconut products (long time fan of the coconut body butter!) so this was an obvious choice for me. It does come in perfume form in a more concentrated formula, but I really liked the idea of having a nice fresh spray that wasn’t quite so heavy. It reminds me of holidays and Malibu, a very heady mix!
Mont Blanc – Legend
I picked this up back in May when I spent a few days in Manchester with Dan. We popped into the local John Lewis where he works and he actually spotted this before I did. It’s a brand I had never really thought of before for perfumes, but the bottle alone called out to me. Pretty pink glass is a no brainer for me! I smelled it with caution, honestly not expecting anything special, but instantly loved it’s girly yet sophisticated scent. If you loved Britney Spears’ Curious when you were younger back when it was all the rage, you will love this. The best way I can describe it, is that it’s a grown up version of that. Not as sweet, but similar notes and a more subtle fragrance overall, with notes of pear and orange blossom.
J Lo – Live
I’m not usually into celebrity perfumes as I often find them a bit ‘cheap’ smelling and find they don’t live up to the hype, but this one is actually really, really nice. I got this as a gift a while back and to be completely honest I didn’t really think I would like it at all and was quick to judge. Without sounding like a brat, I was actually a little underwhelmed when I realised what it was, but after trying it out, my opinion was quickly changed. It’s a really fun, fresh scent which lasts on the skin (something I wasn’t expecting at all after previous experiences with similar perfumes). It’s young and feminine, yet has a very sultry scent to it, perfect for wearing in the evening for summer nights out or on holiday. I also really like the packaging. The bottle looks super expensive, and the colours look lovely on my dresser!
Chanel – Chance Eau Fraiche
One of the more expensive perfumes in my collection, but one that I get a lot of use of. I’m well into my second bottle of this and think this has to be my all time favourite fragrance! This reminds me of Summer so much and has the most beautiful, delicate scent. I can’t pinpoint what it is about this that I love, but I know its going to be one of those perfumes that I repurchase time and time again as it’s so wearable and classic.
Marc Jacobs – Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine
I’m a huge fan of Daisy, in every shape and form it comes it, and this one is just as nice as the others. A move on from the Daisy Eau So Fresh, this Sunshine edition is a little more vibrant and sweet. It’s a very girly summery scent, perfect for the sunny months or ideal as a holiday fragrance as it works well day to night so would be the only one you’d need to pack! I reviewed this on the blog a while back so if you’d like to know more, be sure to check out that post!
Dior – Miss Dior
This is probably the priciest perfume I own, and I must admit I’m pretty scared to use it half the time as I could only afford a teeny bottle and don’t want it to ever run out! Miss Dior is such a gorgeous fresh and fruity scent, but quite intense at the same time. A little goes a long way with this, and it’s one of those that you can smell on your clothes for hours after spraying. I love how it is slightly citrus yet floral, and I always get compliments when I wear this.
Thierry Mugler – Alien
This is one of my most recent additions to the collection, after years of lusting after this! I can’t believe its taken me so long to buy, but I finally have it and I love it. It’s one of those perfumes where I always planned on buying it at the airport when going on holiday, but when that time came round each year, something new and exciting had come out that I wanted to try so this got pushed to the back of the queue. It’s the only perfume I can smell on myself after its settled, and its one of those that I instantly recognise if someone else is wearing it. It’s quite a mature, grown up scent that is very different to all the others I own, but I love it nonetheless.
So there’s my current perfume collection! Have any of these made it into yours? What is your favourite fragrance?
