I had planned to do a look book style video in the garden today showing how I would style these gorgeous Vintage shorts for Summer, but when I opened the curtains this morning the heavens had well and truly opened, so onto plan B! An outfit post will do nicely for now, and I'll hopefully be able to get a nice little video up soon with some more outfit ideas! I wasn't too sure how pink shorts would work with tights at first, but I actually love how they look. I think pink against black is pretty timeless, and adding the lighter shades of grey and beige lifts everything a little. The shorts are from an amazing online Vintage store called Brag Vintage. They have a huge selection of cut off Levi's at really reasonable prices, as well as loads of other Vintage goodies. It took me a pretty long time to narrow my choices down as I couldn't decide which lovely item to pick! I'll definitely be back on the site making a purchase (or two) in time for my holiday in September.
Tee - Topshop
Cardigan - Topshop (old)
Shorts - Vintage Levi's via Brag Vintage*
Tights - TU
Boots - Topshop
Belt - Coco Boo
I'm loving the whole denim shorts with chunky belt look at the minute, and my Peace belt from Coco Boo goes perfectly with these. I wanted to keep the outfit really simple to show off the detail in the shorts and the belt, but when the sun is back out I'll be experimenting a whole lot more with prints and colours. The shorts would look super cute with a floral tee, or vintage white blouse loosely tucked in. I'll be wearing these on holiday too over my bikini or dressed up for evenings out. They'd look amazing with a tan, but that won't be happening for me seeing as my pastey skin doesn't seem to ever change colour!
How would you style pink shorts? What would you like me to style them with for my look book video?
