IN THE SUMMERTIME

Evening all! Finally I’ve had a day to myself where I could fully enjoy the sunshine, so I have pretty much spent the entire day lounging around in the back garden. I wanted to wear something cool and comfortable, that would be easy to wear throughout the day, starting from a quick trip to the shops and ending in an afternoon in the sun. This Topshop maxi dress was the perfect choice as it’s a really light jersey fabric and was simple yet statement with it’s unusual mustard colouring. I bought this last week and have been looking forward to wearing it since, and decided that today would be ideal to give it it’s fist outing. I decided to tie it up at one side to give it a little more shape, and added a skinny belt to break up the block of colour. The dress is pretty affordable at £18, and comes in tonnes of pretty colours, so I’ll no doubt be picking up a couple more of these in time for holiday!

Dress – Topshop

Belt – Primark (old)

Sandals – Clarks

Sunglasses – Ray Ban via John Lewis

Nails – 3D Tangerine by Jessica

Toes – Sensual by Jessica

I was super excited to find out that I won the Clarks #FREEYOURFEET challenge that I entered a while back, and for my prize I was very lucky to get a bunch of Clarks vouchers, so I’ve been treating my toes to some new sandals for summer. This is hands down my favourite pair and I’ve worn them every day since picking them up last week. I went back to my local store today to get these in the other colour they do. I’m sure you’ll be seeing the other pairs I got very soon!

I hope you’re all enjoying the lovely weather we’re having in the UK. Let me know how your spending your days in the sun. Tomorrow I’ve got an outfit lined up that is inspired by festival fashion. I’m sadly not attending any festivals but I thought I would style a look to give those of you who are some outfit inspiration! Keep your eyes peeled for that tomorrow evening!
