You all know how much of a MAC lipstick lover I am, and these are three shades I have been dying to get my mits on for a while now. There’s something about their lipsticks that keeps me going back for more (my collection is getting a little ridiculous now). I love how creamy they are, how pigmented they are, and even how nice they smell – weird, I know, but hopefully some of you MAC fans out there will know what I mean. Candy Yum Yum, Morange and Girl About Town are three shades that all pack a punch when it comes to bold colours, which is something I really love. I’m really into bold shades at the moment, and love to wear my make up really simple, finished off with a slick of bright lippy! No matter how rushed your make up is, a bright colour on the lips always seems to pull everything together and make the look seem more polished, and these three do the trick perfectly.

Candy Yum Yum
Described as a neon pink, this definitely does what it says on the tin! This is what I like to call ‘highlighter’ pink, and at first when I saw it I was a little scared how something so vibrant would work against my pale blotchy skin, but it actually looks really pretty and is surprisingly wearable! If I remember correctly, this shade was actually one from the MAC archives that was discontinued, and was voted back in to the collection in ‘MAC by Request’ where fans chose which lipstick they wanted to see relaunched. I’m so glad this one won as I’m obsessed with it!
I’ve seen this shade look amazing on so many people but have always been a little wary of how it would look against my blonde hair, but again I was really surprised how wearable this is. On the photos it’s coming off more red than it is in real life. It’s actually got more of an orange tone to it, but it sounds a lot scarier than it is! Described as a ‘loudmouth orange’ pretty much sums up how bold and bright this shade is. I think this would look really pretty with a classic up do and a monochrome outfit for a chic yet fun look that really lets the colour stand out.
Girl About Town
I think most MAC fans have this one in their collections. I was just a little late on the bandwagon with Girl About Town, but better late than never! This is such a beautiful deep fuschia pink with subtle blue undertones. If you’ve ever seen or worn Impassioned, I would say this is the more wearable version of that with a slightly deeper colour. This is the perfect shade for a night out and would look incredible teamed with a slightly smokey eye, or would look equally lovely during the day with simple, clean face make up to brighten up your look.
I really can’t wait to wear these shades more. Let me know if you have any MAC lipstick recommendations for pale skin and blonde hair. I’m always on the lookout for new colours to add to my growing collection!
