Today Dan and I headed to our local park for a stroll in the lovely sunny weather, then off to the shops to get some yummy food. The park was the perfect backdrop for some outfit photos, with the late morning sun shining through the trees. It was a walk down memory lane for me, as I actually went to college down the little road you see below, and unfortunately the building (which was a beautiful listed building) has been sold for other uses now. It was such a shame to see the grounds all over grown and uncared for. I loved my college years and have some great memories with great people there, so it was nice to reminisce!
I wore a pair of Vintage shorts that I’ve been dying to get out since buying them from Retro Queen Boutique at a fair I recently did. They were put away in my holiday pile, but the sudden burst of Bank Holiday sunshine made for the perfect unveiling. They have gorgeous cut out floral detail which looks lovely, especially when the sun hits it.

I teamed the shorts with a simple black tee to let them take centre stage, and black accessories to tie everything together. The sandals are my current favourites and seem to go with pretty much everything I own! I love this outfit so much and can’t wait to wear the shorts again in some Portugal sunshine next month paired with crop tops and pretty camisoles. Fingers crossed I’ll get a bit of a tan (yeah right) and they’ll look even nicer…
How have you spent your Bank Holiday Monday? Hope you have all had a lovely long weekend!
