Evening all. First off, you may have noticed a couple of changes going on round here. I've been playing about with my header as quite frankly, I had got pretty bored of it, but the whole layout isn't quite finished yet. I've also been having a go at some photo editing, hence why today's pictures may look a little different to usual. I've not gone all out in an editing frenzy, I was simply experimenting with a couple of Photoshop actions that I had downloaded. I'm not too sure whether I like the effects or not just yet, so I thought I would test the water and see what you all think. I've also been thinking of new locations to take my pictures too, as I'm struggling to find anywhere exciting to shoot in my garden. There's a few places nearby that I'd like to try out to give more of a look book feel to my pictures, but again I think it will all be case of testing to see what works best. I don't want to venture too far from what my pictures are like now, but I just feel like a change!
Anyhow, today's outfit is typical of what I love to wear at this time of year, and you may have noticed a theme occurring in recent posts. It's another dress and boots combo, this time featuring a gorgeous dress from Mary & Milly. I was lucky enough to meet Poppy, the lady behind the company, when we were both selling at the same vintage and fashion fair. Her stall is full of lovely on trend pieces, designed to be worn for any occasion and take you from day to night. She sells at lots of universities across the North West, and also has a store on ASOS Marketplace that she regularly updates. To cut a long story short, Poppy got in contact with me through Facebook after the event and we got chatting. She was super kind and generous by offering me a piece to wear on my blog, and since I love her little shop and all she sells, I said yes, and chose this gorgeous little blue and white number.

The dress is a lovely strapless style with pretty cut out detail at the shoulders, and a print reminiscent of blue china. It fits like a glove around the bust and then flares out slightly at the waist into a beautiful chiffon skirt that has an almost handkerchief cut hemline. It's a lovely lightweight fabric that will make it the perfect dress to take on holiday, either dressed down with flats and huge sunnies, or dressed up with jewelled sandals and a statement necklace.
I styled it with a fluffy chunky black cardigan and black studded boots to make it weather appropriate, but this on will definitely be packed in my suitcase next month when I head off for a week of sun!
Have you heard of Mary & Milly before? What do you think of the collection?
