As most of you know, I’ve recently come back from a week away with Dan in Portugal. We stayed in a little town called Albufeira which I found off by chance when perusing the holiday brochures back in June. Since I booked it though it seems like pretty much everyone I know has been there and they all said is was lovely, so I was ridiculously excited to go. It didn’t disappoint at all. It’s such a gorgeous spot that has some beautiful scenery, buildings and restaurants, and even though it is geared towards tourists, it hasn’t lost it’s rustic charm. I’m not going to bore you and tell you every little bit we got up to, so I will leave you with a few (too many) photos!
I would definitely recommend Albufiera to anyone thinking of a fairly cheap getaway, particularly the hotels that overlook the Old Town for a great view in a quite spot that isn’t too far away from the town itself. We’re thinking of booking again in a year or so, so I think it’s fair to say we’ve fallen for the place!
Have you been to Albufiera? Are you thinking of visiting Portugal?
