As some of you may have seen a couple of weeks back, I was sent a lovely care package from a little chemist not too far from me in Lytham called Tomlinsons. If you're familiar with Tomlinsons (hello Northern ladies!) you'll know that it is one of the oldest shops in Lytham, having been open since 1850! They pride themselves on mixing the modern with the traditional in medicinal techniques, and offer an extensive range of health and beauty products and brands. My care package consisted of numerous samples from some of the beauty and skincare brands that they stock, and the main thing that jumped out at me was the Vichy Dermablend Foundation, something I've been wanting to give a whirl for some time now. I thought I'd write a post to show you my initial thoughts on the product after trying it out for a few days, and will probably do this with a few of the samples as there are some great things I'm wanting to try out!Vichy Dermablend Foundation - Available at Tomlinsons Chemists, Lytham
I got a few different shades but found I was matched best to number 15 Opal , due to being so pastey white! I had big hopes for this as having problem skin I'm always on the look out for something that claims to cover up, if not fix any imperfections, and have heard so many rave reviews all over the blogosphere. I can report that first impressions have been very, very good! The coverage of this was really good. It covered up the majority of my blemishes without the need of any concealer, yet it didn't feel heavy or 'caked' on my skin light other foundations can. I'm actually wearing it in this post, where you can see how flawless it looks on my skin and how good the match is! So far, so good with this product. Once I've used up my samples this will definitely be going to the top of my 'to buy' list.
Have you tried the Vichy Dermablend foundation? What are your thoughts? I'd love to hear how people with problem or acne prone skin have got on with this! Let me know!
