Want to get your New Year’s resolutions off with a bang? Motivate yourself to hit the gym by dressing for the job. Trust us; ten minutes sat in these workout outfits will get you in the right frame of mind to work up a sweat. Those Christmas pounds aren’t going to run themselves off (as Style Bistro will also tell you). Don’t let lethargy get the better of you!

Who wears short-shorts? You wear short-shorts. Well, these shorts are for those who can’t quite fathom running with half their behind hanging out. Coming in many different colours, we’re a big fan of the fresh teal. These will be perfect for when the days get warmer and you’re ready to show a little leg around your local park.

Available in a classy dark or light grey, this pullover will get you through the cold months comfortably. It also has the added benefit of futuristic glowing strips, so you’re easily visible in the dark.

From the same company, these gym trousers are a great length for winter. We love the interesting floral detailing and cuts. There’s no doubt that these skin-tight leggings will be flattering. If you just want something basic, they also do a pair in plain black.

This is a great investment piece for when you’ve achieved that sleek look you’ve been aiming for. This semi-transparent tee is an ideal way to keep cool and look gorgeous. If you’re feeling a little self-conscious, you can always wear it over a slim vest.

The great thing about yoga is that you can wear simple costume jewellery and get away with it. This hair clip will be a stylish way to add a little sparkle to your downward-facing dog.

When you want tennis gear, look to Lacoste. This rouge tennis dress will make you stand out of a sea of white and features a lovely back panel. However, if you’re a bit of a traditionalist, the dress is also available in white, but you have to pay more for the privilege.

Have you been searching for a beautifully comfortable tee for your weekly yoga session? Well, your search is over. This shirt has a flattering slash neck and has the added benefit of thumb holes, for those slightly chilly gym rooms.

Planning on walking any mountains? This jacket will get you up and down again without looking like you’ve swam the English Channel. Coming in a selection of colours, this’ll do the job and look good too. Just be sure to wear a fleece underneath, if it’s an exceptionally chilly day! It should be entirely breathable, so you won’t feel uncomfortable wearing it and working up a bit of a sweat.
