Happy Valentine’s Day ladies and gents! I hope you’ve all had a lovely day whatever you’ve been doing. Dan and I had our Valentine’s a couple of days ago as he isn’t here today, but it was really nice nonetheless! We had a yummy steak dinner with a glass (or two) of rose and watched a film. We don’t really ‘celebrate’ the day as such, but we always put a little time aside for it which is nice.

I did plan on doing a nice Valentine’s outfit post today, but the weather has been so bad lately that they would have looked horrific to say the least! Instead I’ve got my usual weekly wishlist for you, and it’s a good’un! Everything is from River Island, one of my current favourite high street shops. I’ve know I’ve said this in the past, but River Island never used to really appeal to me when I was in my late teens and at college/uni, but they have seriously upped their game in the past couple of years and it’s now one of those stores that I can’t walk past without going in. They’re current collection is one of my favourite yet, with some gorgeous transitional pieces. Take a look at some of my picks!

How beautiful is all of this!? I really want to give their denim tube pants a whirl as they look very similar to my favourite Topshop Joni’s with a flattering high waist and stretchy fabric to suck everything in. I’d wear these with the relaxed slouchy top, camel fedora and those uh-mazing boots!! I’m a huge sucker for the cut out styles of ankle boots at the minute and seem to be building up a bit of a collection, but these are hands down some of the nicest I’ve seen yet. I’m also loving the little pink jacket which would be perfect over a plain white tee with the jeans again, and that gorgeous rucksack, or dressed up over the polka dot midi for a more formal occasion.

I know where I’ll be swinging by this payday! What do you think of my picks from River Island? Are you a fan of their current collection?

  1. I've also been really impressed with river island recently. They do some really fun prints without adding loads of gaudy embellishment, which they used to be very guilty of.

Loving all your picks, especially number 9. X
