So we've been in our new home for over a week now and have settled in nicely to life in our own place. I've loved unpacking all of our new bits and bobs that we've been collecting over the past year or so, making the place look and feel like our own. It's difficult making a rented space feel like home as there's very little you're allowed to do decor wise, but I've been able to find some gorgeous pieces to make it all a little more personal. A couple of the things I've got have come from the very talented Maria Allen. I've worked with Maria on the blog in the past, reviewing her beautiful jewellery range, but since then she has expanded her range into wood work and personalised gifts. I ordered a pair of her beautiful personalised coasters to go on our bedside tables, and Maria very kindly asked me to test drive one of her upcoming products, her wooden calligraphy signs.
Wooden calligraphy sign* & Personalised coasters - Maria Allen
The calligraphy signs will be launching on the website soon, and you will be able to personalise them to say any six character word you like. We went for simply 'home' as we thought it would be nice to have in our apartment, but you could literally have anything you please. The signs can then be hung on a wall or stood up like we have displayed ours. It looks so lovely on our little coffee table alongside a wicker basket we have filled with candles. When the product launches I'm thinking of placing an order for another, possibly for the spare room but I'm not sure what text to go for just yet. Any ideas?
The coasters also turned out beautifully and look so cute on our bedside tables. Maria has tonnes of designs of coasters to choose from, but I decided to go for her initial ones and had them personalised, making them that little bit more special.
I'm so pleased with how all the items turned out and can't wait to get some more of the wooden items from the Maria Allen range. I love the keyrings and cufflinks - perfect for gifts!
What do you think of the Maria Allen gifts and homewares? Have you bought anything from the collection?
