When I was asked by the lovely Sammie at Jon Richard Jewellery to style up some of their pieces, I instantly started planning some outfits in my head! I love putting looks together so this was right up my street, and I had so much fun playing dress up with some beautiful pieces this morning!
I was very kindly sent four pieces from the Mood by Jon Richard new season collection, each of which channels a different trend for Spring Summer. The four trends I’ve put outfits together for are Carnival, Florals, Pastels and Urban Traveller. The first, ‘Carnival’, made me immediately think of summer and bright, bold colours. The necklace I received for the Carnival trend was a stunning bejewelled number, encrusted with blue and green crystals and a row of hot pink gems. I knew straight away what to team this with, having just picked up a seriously bright yellow tee from River Island last week, so I threw it on and tucked it in to some casual tapered trousers and accessorised with fuchsia pink heels, bag and of course, lipstick!

The second necklace was from the floral trend, and is my favourite of all the four! It features some gorgeous statement flowers in baby pinks, that are studded with little diamante gems. I love the size of it and how it’s so bold and beautiful, plus the colour is so pretty for Spring. I’m a huge fan of the floral trend and I have tonnes of flowery dresses in all colours, but I thought I’d wear something a little different. I went for a floral jacket and paired it with a soft grey jumper and a pretty lace skirt to carry on the floral theme.
Necklace number three is from the pastels trend that is always a big’un for spring summer and one of my favourites to wear! I went straight to my much loved cropped jumper in baby blue that I seem to wear all the time lately, and wore it with one of my new skirts that I picked up in Primark a couple of weeks back. This would have been so perfect with a pair of little pastel heels but sadly I only had nude so they had to do! The necklace ties in nicely with this look with it’s pretty pearls and pink gems.
Last but not least, the ‘Urban Traveller’ trend was a pretty tricky one for me to style, but has turned out to be my favourite look of all four! For me this trend is all about muted tones such as khaki and beige, which I don’t really suit being so fair skinned. However I also think of Aztec prints, and remembered I had this gorgeous H&M dress in black. It goes so well with the amazing rope plaited effect necklace that is a gorgeous mix of black and gold. To finish the look off I dug out my favourite River Island heels from last Summer and a slouchy grey bag.

So those are my four looks styling the Mood by Jon Richard Spring Summer collection. I really enjoyed pulling the outfits together and rediscovering some old favourites in my wardrobe, and the four necklaces are so beautiful! I can’t wait for the sun to come out again in Preston so that I can wear these looks out, especiialy number four!
How would you style each of the necklaces? Which is your favourite trend for the new season?
