Hello all! Hope you had a lovely Christmas and got spoilt rotten?! I've got a few posts lined up to show you some of the lovely gifts I received, and a cheeky sale purchase over the next couple of days, but for now I thought I'd show you what I got up to at a festive event attended at The Body Shop in Preston last week!
My lovely friend Rachelle invited myself along with lots of other North West based bloggers to peruse the Christmas collections at The Body Shop, before heading out to the Christmas Markets in Preston City Centre.
It was a brilliant evening that got me right in to the festive spirit, and it was lovely to see Rachelle, Louise and Lily for a good catch up and a cheeky shop! I picked out some bits from the Christmas collection for myself, and stocked up on a few other essentials whilst I was there. Rachelle kindly showed us round all the new arrivals and talked us through any products we wanted to know more about. She helped me pick out a toner from the Tea Tree collection which I am loving using so far and would recommend if you suffer from breakouts like me!
I fell in love with the new Christmas Vanilla Brulee goodies and brought home the Bath Jelly - one of my new favourites! It smells amazing and feels so luxurious in the bath, adding lots of bubbles and making my skin lovely and soft.
I also loved the new perfume that's recently been launched, called 'Red Musk', which is something I'm definitely going to be snapping up as a treat next time I'm in town! It's not something I'd usually go for as it's a million miles away from the floral, feminine scents I tend to sway towards. This one is quite a sultry, grown up fragrance that settles in to the most gorgeous spicy scent, with hints of tobacco and cinnamon. I'm terrible at describing smells, but would recommend you go and catch a whiff of this one next time you're in a Body Shop store! It's a beauty!
I had a lovely time seeing some familiar faces, checking out the new products, and filling my belly with a hot turkey sandwich and mulled cider at the markets afterwards. It was the perfect start to my Christmas break (which has now almost come to an end - boo!) and I can't wait for the next event!
