So the first month of the year is over and with it comes some new firm favourites that have established themselves in to my beauty routine over the past few weeks. It’s a good mixed bag of skincare, bath products and make up this month, and pretty much every item (all but one!) is a new discovery that I’ve not tried before. Let’s get in to it!

Good Things Deep Clean Black Head Exfoliator – I’ve raved about this facial scrub in my recent Skincare Routine post so I won’t bore you by saying the same thing again, but this is some seriously good stuff! I use this in the evening after taking my make up off for a thorough cleanse.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner – This is another one featured in my skin care routine and I’m on to my second bottle in a month already! This is a really gentle toner that I think has played a big part in improving the condition of my skin lately.

Vichy Normaderm Night Detox – Yet another skincare favourite that has also featured in my routine post, and probably my favourite new addition to my collection. Again, I won’t go in to too much detail but this is SO good if you wake up with oily skin each morning like I used to. This has pretty much stopped that from happening and I don’t think I could be without it now!

The Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Bath Jelly – This is a product I picked up from a blogger event I went to at my local Body Shop store. It was a new release as part of their Christmas collection, and is basically a thick gel that you scoop out with the little spoon provided and swirl in the bath to make lots of lovely bubbles. I chose this mainly for the scent as I’m a sucker for anything vanilla. It’s a gorgeous sweet smell that lingers in the bathroom for a while after using.

Cynthia Rowley Precision Blending Sponge – I picked this up in TKMaxx after Christmas after hearing lots of good things about similar sponges. I’d never tried a beauty blending sponge until this one, and I think I can safely say I have been converted! This gives my foundation such a flawless finish without the worry of brush strokes and the endless buffing that comes with a typical foundation brush!

Maybelline Colour Tattoo Leather Effect in Creamy Beige – I actually got this by mistake when I went to buy one of the original Colour Tattoos in On & On Bronze, but much to my dismay, my local Boots store had stacked them all in the wrong places and I ended up coming home with this one instead! I couldn’t be bothered with the fuss of returning the item, especially since I’d already opened and swatched the colour before I even realised I’d got the wrong one, so I decided to give it a whirl. Needless to say, I’m glad I made the mistake as I actually really love the colour, consistency and the finish of this one, and best of all it’s super easy to use!

Benefit They’re Real Mascara – I’ve always liked this mascara since trying out the free trial size that came with a magazine when it first launched, but because I’ve never really been too fussed about the brands and types of mascara I use, I didn’t see the point on spending almost £20 on one. That is until the mascara I was using ran out, and I found myself at the Benefit counter parting with my hard earned cash! I’m now hooked on this, and after being without it for so long I can finally appreciate just how good it is compared to cheaper alternatives.

Model Co. More Brows – This is something I got in a recent Glossybox and just had to try! I’ve loved the Benefit Gimme Brow since it’s release, and was running out when this one conveniently arrived on my doorstep. This is a perfect dupe for the Gimme Brow, and in my opinion a little better! The brush is ever so slightly bigger, which is fine for me as my brows are pretty full. At £14.95 this is a few pounds cheaper than the Benefit version, too!

Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels – I’ve been a big fan of Topshop blushes, especially the cream ones, since I got my first one (Neon Rose) a few years back, and thought it was about time I picked up a new one when I had a Topshop Gift Card burning a whole in my pocket after Christmas. I got Head Over Heels, a beautiful peachy coral, and have used it every single day since. It gives a healthy pop of colour to the cheeks and a nice subtle dewy finish that I love!

I think January has been a pretty good month for new favourites, wouldn’t you say so? I’ve finally got a skincare routine in place that works and seems to be making a huge difference, and I’ve found some beautiful new products that I’ve really enjoyed using so far.

What have been your most loved products of January?
