My monthly favourites posts seem to be getting later and later each month, but life has got in the way of blogging lately what with starting a new job, so things may be a little behind! I'm hopefully getting back in to the swing of things now though, and have some pretty good favourites to share with you from the past month! Let's get down to business.
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation - Forever on the search for a new foundation that a. won't break the bank, and b. won't break my skin out, I stumbled across this one in my local supermarket where it was on offer, and decided to give it a whirl. I've always liked Maybelline products, and had heard pretty good things about this one. Needless to say, the bottle is almost empty after a month as I've used this religiously each day. The formula is really nice and light on the skin, yet the coverage is medium and very build-able so it covers up those pesky bumps and blemishes. Love!
Good Things Five Minute Facial Face Mask - I'm a big fan of the Good Things cleansers, and when I saw this on sale in Sainsburys I snapped it up straight away. I tend to use this once a week or when my skin is feeling a little dull and in need of a pick me up. It's really gentle and leaves my skin feeling soft and squeaky clean.
Anastasia Beverley Hills Brow Wiz - My good friend Steph picked this cult product up for me on a recent trip to America, and I haven't gone a day without it since! This definitely lives up to the hype and is so easy to use. I can draw in natural looking brow hairs where my brows are looking sparse, and create shape and definition without them looking false. This has to be my top favourite product of the month by far!
Boots Re:Balance Dream Pillow Mist - As some of you may know I can suffer from the odd bout of anxiety and lately have been having stress-induced sleepless nights because of this. I picked this up in Boots recently and have sprayed it round my bedroom and on my pillow every night. I don't know whether there's anything scientific behind the product or it's (natural) ingredients, but I feel like it helps me doze off a little easier and relaxes me before it's time to sleep.
Moroccan Oil Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner* - I was recently very kindly sent a few of the Moroccan Oil products to test out, two of which were these gorgeous shampoo and conditioner. I'm a big lover of the Moroccan Oil brand and have been obsessed with the hair mask and hairspray for some time now, so had high hopes for these! They leave my hair feeling fresh and clean without adding weight that some products do, and I love the handy size of the bottles, perfect for our hols next month!
Moroccan Oil Root Boost* - Another product from the collection I received was this uh-mazing Root Boost! This is an absolute dream for if you suffer from flat, lifeless locks like mine. I spray this at the roots of towel dried hair, work in with my fingers then dry my hair with my head tipped upside down. It adds instant volume and hold at the roots, keeping my 'do looking big and bouncy until the next wash!
Fake Bake 5 Minute Mousse Ready To Wear Tan - I picked this up from my local beauty salon recently for a wedding when I was struggling for time to tan between a leg wax and an event (you know how it is girls!). This is an instant tan that you can apply just 5 minutes before dressing. It doesn't need to be applied the night before to let the colour build, as it gradually builds over a couple of hours and is instantly visible, plus the best part is that it doesn't transfer on clothes! Unlike most instant tans, this one doesn't wash off in the shower straight away, and instead fades over time so I was left with a lovely subtle glow even 2 or 3 showers later!
Nivea Firming Body Oil - I've actually picked up three products from the Nivea Firming range, but rather than throw them all in the photos, I just thought I would talk about them as a range. I've been using these for about two weeks now (the oil, body lotion and in-shower moisturiser) on my legs and stomach and have already started to see a difference in my skin. I make sure I use the shower cream every time I shower, and then either the oil or moisturiser afterwards. Sometimes I'll even use them twice a day (morning and before bed) if I remember to! I'm going to stick at these right up until my holiday for another 4 weeks, so I'll no doubt write a review of the range when/if I see any further results, but so far so good!
What have you been loving over the past months? Any products you would recommend me to try out?
