Let’s rewind back a few weeks to the start of the new year, and on a quest to start eating healthier, I began the #DinnerTimeChallenge with HelloFresh. HelloFresh is a meal subscription service that delivers everything you need to cook delicious meals from scratch at home. In your box, you receive everything from fresh meat and vegetables from trusted suppliers, as well as spices and seasonings, all measured out perfectly for each recipe and all packaged carefully delivered straight to your door each week. We’ve been cooking the meals for three weeks now and we’ve been enjoying some delicious new meals that, without HelloFresh, we probably would never have tried before!
The #DinnerTimeChallenge is all about spending time with your loved ones and sharing a meal with them each evening, something that HelloFresh are passionate about, for 30 days. We took the challenge as we both lead pretty varied working lives with different shift patterns, and don’t often get the time to sit down and eat a meal together. Setting the table each night and sharing a meal, whether it just be with Dan, or with my family, has been something I look forward to each day, and cooking something delicious has become part of our routine.
Over the past three weeks we’ve cooked all these amazing meals, all that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed, except one that I wasn’t so keen on (not a huge fan of couscous, sorry!). We’ve had everything from Tuscan Sausage Risotto, Honey Mustard Pork with Apple & Lentils and Lamb Koftas with Coconut Pilaf, to an incredible Pork Chilli and delicious Calzone Pizzas. We’ve still got a few weeks of the challenge to go, and I’m so excited to see what other tasty recipes come our way. Selecting which 4 out of 5 meals we’d like has become one of the most exciting parts of my Sundays!
