I’ve been waiting for a dry day for what feels like FOREVER to show you this fabulous sassy little red dress that I recently got from Very. I’m so drawn to red right now and this dress had been catching my eye time and time again. The frill details, floral print and fluted sleeves were practically calling my name, so it was definitely a no-brainer! To be honest I’ve actually this down as more of an Autumn/Winter dress that will look amazing with black opaque tights and heeled ankle boots, but right now its perfect for dressing up or down in the (non-existent) summer weather.

Today I wore my new favourite trainers – the classic seventies inspired Nike Cortez – to dress things down a little for a casual Sunday lunch out. I love the contrast between a feminine dress with really girly detailing, paired with trainers for a bit of a clash, and I think (I hope?) this look turned out really well.

The bag is another current favourite of mine, and an absolute steal from Primark! I love everything about it – the velvet, the size, the colour and the fastening – so sweet! Primark’s accessories are SO GOOD right now. I would massively recommend taking a look at their shoe and bag collections right now. They’re the best they’ve been in a long time, for sure.

This weekend has been such a lovely one. I’ve eaten copious amounts of food (basically been eating everything in sight ahead of the third and final part of my Results with Lucy plan starts on Wednesday), spending time with friends and family and just enjoying the company of all my favourite people! We’ve also been busy with wedding planning and have ordered pretty much all of our venue decor, booked to give notice of marriage and paid deposits for all of our remaining supplier bookings. It feels good to be on top of the planning process and I finally feel like we’re in control of our day and its going to be just how we pictured! There’s still a long way to go, but it going to fly by!

I hope you’ve all had a fabulous weekend!
