Last week I was super lucky to be able to head to London for the Next Blogger Network event, and what a fun event it was! Based at the gorgeous Ace Hotel in Shoreditch, with a panel from some of my favourite special guest bloggers and of course the latest collections from Next, it was probably up there with one of the best blogger events I’ve been to. Sadly I couldn’t make it until around 5pm, but the event itself started earlier in the day with manicures from Wah nails and an Instagram workshop from Monica Beatrice Wellburn, which I was so sad to miss!
I arrived just in time for the guest panel though, which featured Chloe from Chloe Digital, Anna from The Anna Edit, Lily Pebbles and Naomi Smart – four ladies whose content I’ve admired for years now. They’re Q&A was so interesting and inspiring, covering everything from SEO and HTML to changing your blog name (something I did last year and wished I had heard their advice first!) and self promotion. As a blogger, it was so refreshing to hear what people in the industry thought about the blogosphere and where it could go in the future, and it made me really think about where I’d like to take my own little corner of the internet.I was so thrilled to be able to meet Anna and Lily after the panel before I had to dash off for my train back up north, and they were both so lovely! It was great to chat about their videos and how trends have changed in blogging and Youtube, and I can confirm that they were just as down to earth as they were in their videos!
Whilst at the event I also spied some stunning pieces from the new Next Autumn/Winter range, and already have my eye on a checked suit and a dreamy red knitwear. Oh, and A LOT of new shoes! We were treated to an amazing goody bag at the end of the event, full of Next products which was super generous, so thank you so much to the NBN team!
This is the first time I’ve done anything with the Next Blogger Network, and I can’t wait for more events and exciting projects! You can sign up to the network here if you haven’t already!
