For what seems like forever now, I’ve been searching for the perfect wrap dress, only to be faced with styles that are too short, too baggy or far too tight, and I’ve lost count of the times I’ve spied beautiful versions on the rails that completely disappoint once I try them on in the fitting rooms. The wrap dress is a style that I’ve always loved as it gives such a lovely shape with its cinched in waist and V neckline, and after countless seasons of trying and failing, I’ve FINALLY found one that fits like a dream, and looks as lovely off the hanger as it does on!
Enter what will from this point on be known as my ‘midi dress of dreams’ – a super flattering black long sleeved dress with a gorgeous Autumnal floral print, feminine ruffle detailing and of course the signature wrap around waistline. This beauty is from Nobody’s Child at ASOS and I think it might just be the best thing to grace my wardrobe this year.
I’ve worn this only twice so far but have had SO many compliments about how lovely the print is and how flattering the shape is on my figure. I absolutely love the slightly asymmetric hem which just kicks up at the front to (not so) coincidentally show off my fabulous red boots!
The boots are another new Autumn/Winter addition to my wardrobe and they’re from River Island. I’ve seen so many red boots on the high street recently but none that ticked the boxes for me, until I found these! They’re just the right height on the ankles (not too high, not too low), they’re a great heel height for day to night dressing and they have a slightly pointed toe which is great for elongating short legs like mine!
I love how the pop of red looks with the print of the dress, and I knew instantly that these boots would look dreamy with it. I’m so glad I paired them together as its a look I adore so much! I also added a designer-dupe handbag that I picked up earlier this year in H&M, and threw my faux leather biker jacket over the top because man, its getting cold! Can you believe we’re in November already?!
In other news, life has kind of taken over this week so things have been a little quiet around here, but I’ve lots of content ready to go in my drafts folder, including an Autumn/Winter homeware edit, a review of some amazing skincare products from a great brand I’ve recently discovered, and another outfit post, all coming your way later this week! I’m also getting back in to reading and discovering new blogs, so if you’ve got a blog you think would be up my street, please leave your link in the comments!
Hope you’re all having a fabulous week!
