The temperature has definitely dropped this weekend (how cold?!) so out have come the fluffy jumpers, warm winter coats and ALL the hats! There’s just something about this time of year though when its cold and crisp in the mornings, there’s a dusting of frost on the ground (not so fun when its on your car windscreen though, am I right?) and you can wrap up warm – dare I say it, I kind of love winter!
This weekend has been a chilly one, but that hasn’t stopped me from getting off the sofa and heading out! To be completely honest, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and out of sorts for various reasons over the past few weeks, and anxiety has crept in a lot lately, resulting in a weekends spent moping about the house and feeling sorry for myself, so this weekend was a really welcome break for my overactive little brain! Dan and I headed out to our favourite Japanese restaurant on Saturday and filled our bellies with delicious food before strolling around the shops, and today has been spent with my nieces and nephews who never fail to cheer me up, so all in all, its been a good couple of days, and just what I needed!
Another thing that’s brightened up my weekend was the arrival of this dreamy Nasty Gal teddy bear coat, which is hands down the cosiest thing I own! I’ve admired these jackets for a while now and always wondered if I’d be able to pull one of them off, but I’m so glad I got it – its barely left my back all weekend! I absolutely love how it looks with this whole outfit. Its a look I’ve been planning in my head for a few days, and I’m so pleased with how it turned out, especially with the pops of red, pink and mustard. You all know how much I love a good old splash of colour!
In other news, I’ve been given the crazy good title of ‘Blogger Babe of the Month’ over at Nasty Gal which is INSANE! You can shop my absolute favourite pieces from the collection here!
