Can you believe its just one week until Christmas!? I don’t know about you, but I have been SO unorganised this year. Usually, all my presents have been bought and wrapped by the first week of December, but this year I’ve not even finished the shopping yet! This weekend I’ve managed to get the majority of last minute bits done, and picked up these gorgeous gifts from my local Homesense to show you!
Homesense is one of my go-to places when it comes to finding unusual but affordable Christmas gifts, and I think it can be seriously overlooked! Our local store is currently stacked high with everything from scented candles and luxurious beauty gift sets, to fancy chocolates, amazing books, oh-so-cute stationery and every little thing in between. I picked out some great pocket money gifts, the most expensive coming in at just £12.99, which would make them ideal secret santa presents, or some of those last minute additional gifts to finish off the shopping!
At the top of my list was a festive scented candle, because, well who doesn’t love a scented candle!? They’re such a versatile gift that always goes down a treat. They had SO many to choose from, so much so that it took a while to narrow it down to my favourite. I chose a pine tree one which just oozes Christmas, but in a lovely subtle way.
Next stop was the stationery section, which is one of my favourite departments in Homesense because they stock so many great brands! I spied a gorgeous lime green Kate Spade notebook which was almost half the RRP, and just had to snap it up! Its such a great luxury item and would make the best present! Then I spotted a lovely monochrome Alice Scott calendar which has a super chic typography design to compliment the bold and bright notebook, making the perfect duo of gifts for the girl who leads a busy lifestyle!
Another department in Homesense that is incredible at this time of year is the food and drink section. The aisles in this department were full to the brim with luxury chocolates, beautifully kitsch Christmas biscuit tins and dreamy hot chocolate sets, so naturally I had to get one of each! I found a lovely box of chocolates filled with decadent flavours and toppings, which I know a lot of people with LOVE, and a super festive biscuit tin filled with mini chocolate chip cookies, both for less than £5 each. I also picked up a box of Prestat Orange Hot Chocolate Flakes which would be a great luxury stocking filler for grown ups!
Finally, you can’t have hot chocolate without something to serve it in, so to go with the chocolate flakes I found a great mug which I just love! Its huge, so its perfect for a big cup of hot chocolate on a chilly evening, and is a really unusual shape, plus it has a little ‘brilliant’ slogan etched in to it. What’s not to love?!
On top of all the gorgeous gifts I found, I also managed to pick up some great gift wrap! There was so much to choose from, but I settled on a set of four rolls of patterned brown papers and metallic foils which go together beautifully, finished off with white and rose gold ribbons and bows. So lovely and festive!
All this talk of gifts is getting me right in to the festive spirit, and I’ll be spending my evenings for the next week on the sofa, busy wrapping all my carefully chosen gifts! How are you all getting on with the Christmas shopping?
