Is anyone else completely over Winter now? As much as I love Winter styling, I’m so ready for warmer weather and Spring fashion, and definitely got a tad over-excited when the sun showed it face at the weekend, even if it was short lived!
Saving up for a wedding means that a complete Spring wardrobe overhaul is a huge no-no right now, so I’ve been trying to figure out ways to take my winter fashion pieces through to the new season, and thought I’d share with you what will be coming with me through to Spring! Those of you who have followed me for a while now will probably be able to hazard a guess at what most of these items are, I’m sure, as they’re the pieces that feature most in my wardrobe and the looks I post online!
This is an absolute no brainer for me as I’ve absolutely lived in them for the past 12 months, so why stop now?! They’re a great alternative to a coat when the weather is warmer, and for me they just make an outfit feel so much more put together. I’ve lost count of how many I actually have now (which is worrying) but I know for sure that my baby blue Miss Selfridge blazer and my yellow ASOS longline jacket will be getting A LOT of wear this season.
I’ve got really in to hats over the past few months, mainly to tame my hair in the blizzards and stop it from going frizzy, but also because I love them, especially baker boy and beret styles! I’ve got lots of colours that will work really well in my Spring wardrobe, and they’re such an affordable accessory, so adding to the collection won’t break the bank! I’d love to add some more styles this season, maybe a straw hat or a floppy number for the honeymoon!
You all know by now how much I love a slogan print. I mean, they’ve pretty much featured in most of my outfit posts recently, so its obvious that these are going to be on the list! Whether a slogan T Shirt or sweatshirt, I love how they can add more interest and fun to an outfit, and are an absolute winner when paired with the aforementioned blazers!
LIGHT WASH DENIM
My favourite shade of denim is definitely light wash, and I would usually only really wear this in Spring anyway, but I’ve been donning this shade a lot more in the colder months recently! Its only natural that this trusty denim hue comes with me in to Spring again, and I’ll probably look to invest in another fit so that I don’t completely live in my mom jeans and straight leg options that I usually reach for!
Velvet Blazer – Miss Selfridge // Heartbreak Hotel Sweatshirt – Topshop // Mom Jeans – Miss Selfridge // Beret – ASOS // Nike Cortez – Offspring
I practically live in my trainers at the moment, but they’re going to even more well loved when the warmer weather comes back! Too hot for boots, but too much risk of rain to go for sandals? Trainers are the perfect solution! My favourites are Nike Cortez, Converse, Adidas Stan Smith and Nike Thea for ultra comfort, but there are so many more that I’ve got my eyes on!
So those are my (pretty obvious) Spring staples and the items I love wearing right now. They’re the pieces that make me feel like ‘me’ and make me feel happy and comfortable, so no doubt I’ll be wearing them for seasons ahead.
What are the items that will be seeing you through to the next season?
