I don’t know about you, but as much as I love Autumn fashion, I find this tricky in-between weather so hard to dress for. Is it cold enough for a coat? Warm enough for a cardigan? Do I brave bare legs and go for a skirt? Or do I play it safe with jeans? Do I go out in my trainers? Or should I be wearing boots? So many questions!! I was chatting to my gorgeous pal Lucy about this very thing recently and how something as simple as getting dressed in the morning can be a minefield, but I think that I might just have found my go-to Autumn outfit combo that ticks (most of) the boxes, and keeps me warm without breaking out in a sweat!

Its as simple as this – slogan tee and jeans combo (I know, I know – I wear this ALL the time) with a lightweight coat and comfy trainers. I can confirm that I wore this look at the weekend and not once did I have any dilemmas where I felt uncomfortable from being too hot/too cold/too uncomfortable. Whilst my gorgeous pink coat might be new (more on that one in a mo) this outfit combination means I can still make the most of my endless T shirt collection that seems to have grown SO big this year (oops) and all of my jeans, without having to spend a fortune on new pieces to see me through the season. Result!

So, on to the coat, or as like to call it, ‘the coat of dreams’! I’m so in to pink right now – pink knitwear, pink T shirts, pink suits, pink everything! – so as soon as I spotted this one online at H&M I just couldn’t resist snapping it up. Its the perfect everyday style – a great length, easy to throw on over any casual or dressy outfit, and the colour instantly elevates even the most simple look. It also has a really lovely soft, fluffy feel to it, which is great layered over knitwear for a mix of textures.

Coat – H&M // T Shirt – ASOS // Jeans – River Island // Nike Presto Fly Trainers – Very // Black Cross Body Bag – H&M

I just know that a piece like this is going to be sticking around in my wardrobe for years to come thanks to how versatile it is! I can see it looking lovely over a dress and heels for a more fancy occasion! Note to self though – I don’t need any more coats!! (Though I’ve definitely got my eye on a couple of others…)
