As I’m sure you all know by now, Dan and I recently moved in to a new home, and its honestly been the best decision we’ve made in a while! There’s just something about our new place that makes me feel so at ease and happy, and its topped off what’s been a pretty great year! Obviously with the house move comes new homeware, and boy do I get excited over planning out rooms and all of the bits to decorate them with.
In our last place, the bedroom was always a room that bugged me, because even though what we had in there was nice, the room itself just wasn’t. This new room however is so much nicer – bright and airy, nice and peaceful and lots of space. We wanted the room to be pretty simple, but luxurious and relaxing, and that’s all come together perfectly now, thanks to the Leesa Mattress!
The very kind folk over at Leesa gifted us one of their double mattresses for our new bedroom, which we were over the moon about, as we’ve always wanted to get ourselves a more luxurious mattress, and one that would be good for back problems, as I always seem to suffer with lower back issues. What’s unique about the Leesa Mattress is that it has not one, not two, but three foam layers which adapt to the shape of your body and guarantee to give you a good night’s sleep, whatever position you sleep in. Needless to say, I was pretty excited to give it a try!
Our mattress arrived really quickly, only a few days after our order was placed, and it arrived in a super compact box – so compact you wouldn’t believe the thing fit inside, but it did! We unboxed and set up our mattress on the bed (which made for a very funny time lapse video on Instagram stories a few weeks back!) then left it for a whole 24 hours whilst we slept in the spare bedroom, so that it could expand and take shape. What was surprising was how much the mattress grew! Its a really deep mattress which is perfect for our bed frame, and as you can see from the photos, even without bedding, it looks pretty darn nice! I love the subtle pale grey colour with the trademark four stripe design in white.
From the first night we slept on the mattress around a month ago, I’ve had some of the best sleep I’ve had in a long time! I was a little sceptical at first – I mean, how good can a mattress really be? – but after just a few weeks I am completely obsessed with it! It’s incredibly comfortable and soft, but still firm and supportive. I was a little worried that memory foam would leave me feeling too warm, but its the complete opposite. It has a cooling effect, thanks to its special top layer of ‘Cooling Avena Foam’ which provides airflow for a cooler night’s sleep.
I tend to sleep on my side, curled up as if I’m in the fetal position, but I can move around quite a lot in the night and often end up on my back, sometimes waking in the middle of the night feeling restless. Not on the Leesa! I barely move at all in my sleep now and have slept through with zero restlessness pretty much every single night since the mattress arrived! I’m waking up in a better mood feeling well rested (which is amazing, since I’m not a morning person at all!), peaceful sleep, and I’m not disturbing Dan with my wriggling anymore! Result.
Our new mattress adds the perfect finishing touch to our bedroom, which now feels even more luxurious and oh so relaxing. I go to bed in the evenings now knowing that I’m going to drift off easily, and looking forward to a dreamy sleep! With over 12,000 5 star reviews worldwide, it had to be good, but I didn’t realise it would change the game for me like it has!
If you want to experience the Leesa Mattress for yourself, you can get £100 off your own with my exclusive code! They also offer a 100-night risk-free trial, which means if you don’t fall in love with your mattress within the first 100 nights, you can return it! And if you thought that was good, what’s even better, is that with every 10 mattresses sold, Leesa will donate one to one of their chosen nonprofit charities. Over 30,000 mattresses have been donated so far to those in need, which is incredible!
I’m so pleased with how our room is looking now, and only need to pick up a few final pieces to make it absolutely perfect. Thank you to Leesa for making it so much more enjoyable to go to bed in the evenings, and for finally making it easy for me to fall asleep at night! I think this is going to have a really positive effect on the dreaded SAD symptoms I usually experience going in to the time of year, and *touch wood*, my back problems haven’t reared their ugly head since it arrived! Win win!
