Its become a bit of a tradition of mine to share a ‘Year In Outfits’ post with you all each year, so here is your instalment for 2018! I hope you all had a blast seeing in the new year, whatever it was that you got up to! I spent mine with family and food, and it was so nice, though I seem to have caught the lovely flu bug that’s doing the rounds for the start of January. Happy new year to me!

Anyway, back the outfits. The past year has been one of the best for me, with so much fun stuff going on. We got married, we went away on a dream honeymoon, and so many other lovely things happened throughout the year. That’s meant that the blog hasn’t always been my number one priority though. Looking back, there haven’t been as many style posts as I would have liked!

That being said, I think this is definitely one of my favourite years when it comes to my style! I’ve embraced colour even more and experimented with styles I’ve never tried. I’ve delved in to the world of things other than denim, and a long hot summer pushed me to have more fun with my outfits. In 2018 I also went a little further afield for my photo locations, too. Usually I’d be looking for nice streets near my home, but I managed to shoot content in Manchester and London. My favourite of all though had to be Cuba!

This year I’d like to continue to explore new places and shoot in more locations. One place I’d love to do more in is Liverpool! We’ve visited a number of times in the past and shopped in Liverpool ONE, and always loved it! It’s one of my favourite cities, but not one that we spent a lot of time in. I’d love to change that this year! It’s such a vibrant city and one with so many great backdrops, shops and restaurants. It would also be great for adding some new pieces to my wardrobe from stores I don’t usually visit. For example, Liverpool ONE has & Other Stories, Arket and Cos, which I’d love some new items from. Then of course there’s Zara, my absolute favourite!

There are so many great places that we could shoot some really creative photos in Liverpool! Stanley Dock Warehouse, outside the Liver Building, and obviously I’d have to hunt down The Liver Wings for Instagram! It’s somewhere I’d love to spend more time this year for sure, especially since there’s such a good shopping scene. Not forgetting the food either – Liverpool ONE has so much to choose from that we just don’t have at home. Chaophraya, Cosy Club and Wahaca are just a few places I’d love to try (and great for the old ‘gram too!).

Other places I’d love to spend more time this year are Lancaster, Clitheroe, Lytham and Manchester. They’re all so close to home but we just don’t get round to visiting them as much as I’d like. There’s so much to do and see at each of them, and they’re great places for creating some lovely content!

Its pretty clear when you look back through these photos when we went to Cuba! Hello, colour! That was such a huge highlight for me when it comes to style. Visiting such a fun and colourful place meant that I could really play with fashion. I wore things I probably wouldn’t wear back home, and absolutely loved every single outfit. Its probably when I felt most comfortable with my body and my style and I think you can really see that. Colour is definitely something I want to experiment with more this year.

I love looking back at my year in outfits, and I’m definitely going to try harder to post more of my looks this year. Life really did get in the way in 2018! As I mentioned in my ‘New Year Style Resolutions’ post, I really want to cut down on spending money on fast fashion. I’m hoping to spend less often, and re-wear more of my existing wardrobe. When I do shop, it will be for items that will be in my wardrobe for seasons to come. So this time next year, you might see a lot of the same pieces popping up in my Year In Outfits post. You’ll also see some more creative styling though, if I can stick to my guns!

How has your style evolved over the last 12 months? I’d love to see your posts if you’ve done something similar! If you fancy having a giggle, you can look back at my previous year in outfits posts below. Beware of the dodgy blogger poses!
