AD – MY CURRENT SKINCARE FAVOURITES

by

I feel like it’s been forever since I last posted about my skincare favourites, but I’ve recently found some products that have worked wonders for me, so I figured it was time to share them with you! Over the Christmas period, my skin was NOT happy. Copious amounts of cheese, chocolate, fatty foods and alcohol wreaked havoc with my skin. I was dehydrated, and my body had barely seen a vegetable for the 2 weeks I was off work, so it’s fair to say my skin was in serious need of some TLC!

There have been quite a few products in my routine that have made it in to my skincare favourites, but there are two in particular that I have been loving. These have been ever so kindly gifted by Hello Body, a Berlin based company who create skincare aimed at young women. Their products are all cruelty free and contain natural ingredients that are kind to both the skin and the environment. I originally received some items from their Coco collection which was super luxurious, but not quite right for my sensitive skin. I then received these pieces from the Aloé range and I can hand on heart say I absolutely love them!

Morning Skincare Favourites

I use the Aloé Wash Daily Face Cleansing Gel as my first step in the morning, followed by the Aloé Light Hydrating Daily Face Moisturiser. Both are really gentle and would suit any skin type. The cleanser makes my skin feel really fresh, without being too harsh of heavy. The moisturiser is probably my favourite of the two, as it sinks straight in to the skin and doesn’t feel at all greasy. My make up sits really nicely on top of it too, which doesn’t always happen with others I’ve tried!

They’ve fit in to my routine so well, and I personally feel like these two products have played a huge part in clearing up my skin after Christmas. Hello Body also have an AHA Exfoliator and a Micellar Water in their Aloé range which I’d love to try out. They also stock reusable make up remover pads which I’ve got my eye on!

As well as the Hello Body products, there’s also some old favourites that I’m still loving to use. One that’s been added to my routine most recently though is the No 7 Youthful Vitamin C Fresh Radiance Essence. A friend recommended this to me and I adore it. I use it before my moisturiser and it helps to really pep up and brighten my skin. I need to pick up a new one of these asap as the bottle is now empty!

Evening Skincare Favourites

In the evenings, I always remove my make up with The Body Shop’s Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, then I’ll do a second cleanse with the Hello Body Aloé Wash. Most nights, I’ll generally stop there, but a couple of nights a week I’ll give my skin an extra treat! I’ll either follow with a peel, with The Body Shop’s Drops of Light Pure Resurfacing Liquid Peel to get rid of any dead skin cells. Or I’ll use a mask. I love the Temple Spa Purification Deep Cleansing Mask which I turn to when I’m having a break out, or I’ll use the Origins Glow-Co-Nuts Hydrating Coconut Moisture Mask. This is from the Madeleine Shaw range, but I don’t think it’s available anymore sadly. It can be left on overnight for when your skin is in need of some much needed moisture. I use this one when I have special occasions the next day, or if my skin is looking a little dull.

I’m so happy to finally have my skin back in to shape again after a crazy break out (note to self: you don’t have to eat ALL the cheese). These products are all now firmly set in my routine and I love each of them so much. Thank you to Hello Body for the two newest additions – they’ve made a huge difference to my skin!
