A Beauty Pie Skincare Review

Long time blog followers of mine will know that I’ve tried a lot of skincare products and regimes over the years, so you’ll probably roll your eyes at yet another updated routine! The fact is though that skin changes so much the older you get, and what used to work wonders for me just sadly doesn’t cut it anymore. I’ve seen Beauty Pie popping up across social media so much lately after launching a few years back, and saw some really great reviews. I’ve always suffered on and off from breakouts and have acne prone skin in some areas, but early pregnancy hormones made old problems reappear so I wanted to try something new.

I did my research – read endless Beauty Pie reviews, watched Youtube videos and read the product information for pretty much every skincare product on the website to figure out the best ones for my skin. Fast forward nearly 3 months and my entire skincare routine is exclusively made up of Beauty Pie products! My skin has LOVED everything I’ve tried, and I’ve stuck to a solid morning and evening routine that has cleared my skin up completely. I’ve become one of those annoying people who tells visitors ‘Look how clear my skin is!!’ because it’s such a novelty for me! I’ve become so much more comfortable in my skin that I rarely wear make up, and have completely ditched foundation for a more lightweight alternative from (yep, you guessed it) Beauty Pie! Needless to say, I’m a fan.

I won’t bore you with the nitty gritty details about how Beauty Pie works as I’m sure you’ve all seen it, but it’s basically a subscription service that gives you access to high end products at cost prices. You pay a monthly fee of your choice to gain access to various spending limits, which you can then use across the site. The products are produced in the same laboratories as some very high end luxury beauty brands, so you’re essentially getting the same level of quality as those, but at the cost price. Genius!

I thought I’d share the products I’m enjoying the most with you in case any of you are on the hunt for something new. It goes without saying though that everyone’s skin is different, and what works for me may not work for you. Definitely have a look on the website at the descriptions/ingredients and do your research if you’re unsure.

The Beauty Pie Products I Use…

The first thing I want to rave about is the Japanfusion Pure Transforming Cleanser. I absolutely love this stuff and have a second tube arriving any day as I’m almost out! It’s probably the most gentle cleanser I’ve ever used, which I wasn’t sure of at first, but the more I used it, the more I’ve grown to love it. It’s almost gel-like in formula, which you apply to dry skin, then add water and massage in to transform it in to a lightweight milky texture before rinsing away. I use it morning and night, and find that it leaves my skin feeling super clean without that tight tingly feeling that some cleansers give. I also like to use it to take my make up off as it’s great at melting away stubborn mascara – I use a warm damp flannel to wipe everything off, then rinse.

Next in my routine and probably my favourite step is the Triple Hyaluronic Acid Lipopeptide Serum. I’ve never used any skincare products containing HA before, and I’m honestly kicking myself. This is an absolute dream! HA is known for its hydrating properties which leave the skin feeling plumper, so it’s a great addition to your routine if you suffer from dry skin. I always used to find that mine looked a bit dull, but with this it never does! It literally drinks this stuff up, and I love it so much that I’ve just ordered my second bottle. (This usually comes in a pink bottle I believe, but due to COVID and supplier issues, the batch I received was in the white bottle instead).

The next step for me is then eye cream – again, something that I didn’t have in my routine beforehand. I’ve dabbled in a few from time to time, but now that I’m getting older I’ve started to see lines creeping in around my eyes and figured now’s a good time to take care of them! I was recommended the Super Retinol Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream by a friend, and I’m obsessed! It’s a really nice lightweight formula that I pat gently under my eyes morning and night, and it soaks in to the skin beautifully. My eyes look brighter, it helps to reduce any puffiness in the mornings and the lines I have look less prominent. This will be a firm favourite of mine for years to come, I’m sure!

When it comes to moisturisers, I’m always pretty fussy. I have combination skin with a very oily T zone and cheeks, so I always opt for something that’s lightweight or has more of a gel formula. After reading some great reviews though I decided to try the Jeju Daily AM/PM Moisture Superinfusion which is much thicker than something I’d usually choose. I was sceptical at first, but I’m a complete convert now. This not only smells incredible, but it soaks in to the skin so well and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. I use it quite sparingly in the mornings as a little goes a long way, but I like to apply it a little more generously in the evenings when my skin has time to really soak it in. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this again, for sure! I also love the glass jar packaging which feels super luxurious!

That would be the final step for skincare in the mornings, but in the evenings I like to go one step further and apply a little of the Super Healthy Skin Amazing Sleep Oil. Oils are again something I’ve always avoided as I’ve experienced some bad breakouts using them in the past, but this came highly recommended by quite a lot of people! I pat a few drops on top of my moisturiser at night and let it work it’s magic. It promises to sooth, hydrate, purify and improve the skin’s firmness and elasticity – all I can say is my skin looks and feels amazing every morning when I wake up, so it must be working! You only need a few small drops of this, so I can see this product lasting me a while, but one I’ll be repurchasing in the future when my supply starts running low!

One final product I wanted to mention that I guess falls in to both the skincare and makeup categories is the Super Healthy Skin Sheer Tinted Oil Free SPF20. I used to be a huge fan of the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation and wouldn’t leave the house without wearing it, but I haven’t touched it at all since this arrived! I’ll still reach for it for a night out or a special occasion where I needed the longevity of it, but I’ve got a new favourite everyday product now! This is essentially a tinted moisturiser with added SPF and my skin loves it. It gives a nice subtle amount of coverage and lasts well throughout the day. I find that this with a little concealer to cover any redness or blemishes is perfect for day-to-day wear, and so much more breathable than a heavy foundation. I’m a complete convert!

As you can probably tell I’m now a huge Beauty Pie fan girl! I can’t get over the fact that luxury skincare of this quality is finally so affordable. I’ve also tried a few of the make up products which I’ve been really impressed with so far too. I’m so happy with the results I’ve seen from the products I’m using, and the fact that I’m using them all up and repurchasing them straight away just goes to show how much I love them. (I don’t repurchase many things that often!).

I’d love to hear your favourites from the range and if you have any recommendations. I’d love to try some of the hair and body products, and the new perfumes sounds incredible!

  1. oooooo I’m glad you like it! I’ve just placed my first Beauty Pie order and have the HA serum and JF cleanser arriving shortly. Since being in lockdown I’ve spent a lot of time researching skincare on blog and youtube and I can’t wait to add these to my collection. It’s true what they say about your skin changing. Since pregnancy my skin has become a lot druer than it was before so it can’t hurt to change things up I guess!
